What are the features of Snapchat?

A fast and fun way to share moments with your friends and family, Snapchat is a photo-sharing software application developed by students at Stanford University. With the app, users can take photos, record videos, write text and drawings, and send them to their list of friends on the app. These photos and films are called ‘snapshots’. Snapchat's user base

Snapchat's main user group is teenagers between the ages of 13 and 25. Since October 2012, the number of users over the age of 40 has continued to grow. Spiegel, the company's chief executive officer, said at the Dive into Mobile conference in April 2013 that the company has about 80 per cent of users in the United States.
