YouTube, a film sharing website owned by Alphabet, is currently the world's largest video search and sharing platform, allowing users to upload, watch, share and comment on films. Registered on 14 February 2005, the site's slogan is "Broadcast Yourself", and its logo is inspired by early cathode ray tube televisions. There is no official Chinese name for the site, but some people in Taiwan refer to it simply as (YT), and in mainland China it is sometimes translated as Yourabbit, Youtou, Youtube, and Yutube.
