It hosts user videos in a variety of short formats, including genres such as pranks, stunts, tricks, jokes, dances, and entertainment, with durations ranging from 15 seconds to 10 minutes.TikTok is the international version of Jieyin, which was initially released in September 2016 in the Chinese market.TikTok was launched for iOS and Android in most markets outside of mainland China in 2017; however, it was only launched globally on 2 August 2018 after merging with Musical.ly, another Chinese social media service.
