what does tinypng do?
Tinypng uses intelligent lossy compression to reduce the file size of WEBP, JPEG and PNG files. By selectively reducing the number of colours in an image, fewer bytes are required to store the data. The effect is almost invisible, but the file size makes a big difference!
Why use Tinypng?
PNG is useful because it is the only widely supported format that can store partially transparent images. The format uses compression, but the files are still large. Use Tinypng to shrink images for your applications and websites. It will use less bandwidth and load faster.
