When WebMoney was created

WebMoney Transfer, a global settlement system and environment for online business activities, was founded in 1998. Since then, more than 45 million people from all over the world have joined the system.

 

What services does WebMoney offer?

WebMoney offers services that allow you to track your money, attract funds, resolve disputes and conduct secure transactions.

The technology provided by WebMoney is based on a set of standardised interfaces that system participants can use to manage their property rights in valuables, protected by specialised companies called Guarantors. System users can register any number of WM wallets with any Guarantor. All wallets belonging to a single user are conveniently stored in the Keeper assigned to the user's WMID registration number. Valuables within the system are measured in WebMoney units (WM). For internal interactions, all system participants are required to provide personal information that has been verified by an authentication service.

Each system participant is automatically assigned with publicly viewable internal system parameters called business levels, which are based on the number of transactions exchanged with other system users.
