What is Google Voice?
Google Voice is a phone service that provides US phone numbers to Google account customers in the US and Google Workspace (G Suite until October 2020) customers in Canada, Denmark, France, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.
Main uses of Google Voice
Google Voice is used for call forwarding and voicemail services, voice and text messaging, as well as US and international. Calls will be forwarded to a phone number that each user must configure in the Account Portal. Users can answer and receive calls on any phone configured to ring in the web portal When answering a call, users can switch between the configured phones. Users in the United States can make calls to domestic and international destinations. The service is configured and maintained by the user in a web-based application similar in style to Google's email service Gmail or Android and iOS applications on a smartphone or tablet.
