What is the main purpose of Tweetdeck?

Tweetdeck is a social media dashboard application for managing Twitter accounts.Tweetdeck started as a standalone application before being acquired by Twitter and integrated into the Twitter interface. It has long been one of the most popular Twitter clients, alongside the official Twitter web client and official apps for iPhone and Android.

Like other Twitter apps, it interfaces with the Twitter API to allow users to send and receive tweets and view profiles. It can be used as a web app, macOS app or Chrome app.

 

How do I use Tweetdeck?

Tweetdeck users can post tweets, reply, retweet, favourite, send direct messages as well as manage and monitor multiple accounts and streams in one interface. Accounts can also be followed, muted or blocked and users can view Twitter profiles, all within Tweetdeck. Once you're on Twitter, it's an efficient way to manage your account.

Below each tweet, there are icons to easily retweet, reply or favourite it. When you click on the three dots on the right, more options appear. You can send direct messages, add or remove people from the list, mute or block users, report tweets, get a link to the tweet or get an embed code to share the tweet on your blog.
